A boy and his bear

Something a bit lighter for you after a couple of days of heavy stuff.

Noah is your normal rambunctious boy.

He likes to run and play with cars.

He likes to be outside. He rarely plays with stuffed toys, except for ‘Ted’.

He is two this month. (Both Noah and Ted).

Of all our children, he is the only one to be attached to a stuffed toy in such a way that Noah is with ‘Ted’.

Ted is taken to bed, he is stroked until his fur is gone. He has been dragged outside to play in the sand, had his ears sucked on and his clothes pulled off. Ted comes with us to the shops and is often found being pulled around by the boy in his wagon.

He is Noah’s best friend.

I bought Ted for his first birthday. He is designed by Kate Finn. Soft, brown terry towelling - like fur. Just the right size for a little boy. Dressed brightly in a red shirt and red, white and blue pinstriped pants.

He is the perfect companion. A boy and his bear.

  1. This is great!

Amy has a fluffy blue bear for bed that she simply HAS to cuddle as she feeds and falls asleep. She also has a bright yellow ‘Ducky’ that she carries around and won’t let us leave home without.

  4. Reminds me of someone else I know who even had “Clancy” clown accompany her, at three years of age, on the trolley on the way to theatre for surgery. Remember? xoxoxo

  7. Two of my daughters were attached to an animal like that. “Bunny” and “Yum-Yum.” My oldest is in college now, but she still has her Yum-Yum.

  8. Two things: that picture is too cute! And, I was going to say that I never had a relationship with a stuffed toy until I saw Lisa’s comment: I too had a ‘Bunny’. How could I have forgotten Bunny??? I wonder what happened to her….

  9. I know attachments can be tedious, but I think this one is pretty cute.
